2012-09-05: Day 1 – Trakai
So here I am in Trakai.
It's fair to say I feel out of place. The simplest of Lithuanian words leave my head when they're needed but it's only day 1 so hopefully that'll improve.
The most notable thing so far is that I've woken a museum from its slumber. They had to stop having a natter and turn the lights on for me to go round and all for the equivalent of 84p of my custom and I in turn am rewarded by somewhere with almost no English descriptions.
Despite the fact I've gone forward in hours I'm shattered. The town feels nearly deserted, unsurprising I guess as it's out of season and mid-week, but I'm making an alarming habit of being the only person wherever I go.
