2013-11-16: Day 52 - Unexpected
It was a nice afternoon so I went wandering around for one of the last times and picked up some tat to take home.
I did find a small festival in front of the National museum which had vast quantities of food so I tried some fresh potato chips which were very pleasant. The oddest thing was that there were some entertainers, a term I use extremely loosely, who at one point appeared to be doing a Hungarian version of the Duck Tales theme.
I shitteth thee not.

Heading out for the evening we take the approach of "get off metro at random stop, find somewhere". This has served us well in the past but tonight was an unmitigated disaster.
Having wandered for a not insignificant amount of time finding nothing we find a beer sign. The place didn't have tinted windows... it had no windows. We opened the door and there was nobody.
Hmmmm
It is more restauranty but has beer taps for Soproni and Zlaty so we order two beers.
There is no Soproni or Zlaty. "We have Dreher from a bottle".
Thank you and good bye.
Find another sign of life, more bar like and more life so we head in. No draught beers again... but a better selection of bottles and football on the TV. Given I died of thirst three streets ago we stay and it's a pleasant enough place.
We wander on to find nourishment and end up in the locally named and themed "Sir Lancelot". This is, as it sounds, a themed bar with costumes and performances and the like but also a good selection of food and good portion sizes. The interesting thing is that they give you a knife, a spoon but no fork to encourage entering in to the spirit of things. This is fine but does become more problematic when your dish contains gravy.
